PLEASE NOTE! If you are coming for Woodcraft Week classes at McBane Mill, please shoot me an email for lodging suggestions. The McBane Mill site is twenty minutes north of Pittsboro off of highway 87, making some of the inexpensive hotels up on I-85 a better option.
Bicycle - We are on the corner next to S&T’s Soda Shop and in front of the City Tap bar, halfway down the hill to the courthouse.
Motor - We are at 89A on the corner of Hillsboro and W. Salisbury Streets. The town of Pittsboro is at the intersection of routes 15-501 and 64. If you are coming up the hill from the courthouse and the confederate statue, note that you can't turn left onto Salisbury Street but have continue on a bit and circle around.
Parking - The signs on Hillsboro Street say 2 hour parking, but no on seems to know if this applies on weekends. I think it’s best to find a place on W. Salisbury street. There are handy spaces at the abandoned post office halfway down the block from the school.
By Air - We are 40 minutes from RDU, but watch the time of day for traffic on I 40!
Tiny Pittsboro has limited lodging, but there are plenty of chain hotels within 30 minutes.

Chapel Hill to the north of Pittsboro
Apex and Cary to the east
For for potential bargains out of the high rent district
Siler City to the west (way country!)
Some of our students have had good luck bidding $50 on Priceline and other lodging bid sites for 4 star hotels in Chapel Hill. There must not have been a game on these days!)
