Restoring and Using Wooden Planes w/ Roy, Bill, et al!
What do you look for in a vintage wooden hand plane? How can you restore it and tune it to function as new? This weekend gives you the answers! Bring your own planes or choose from among the hundreds of wooden bench and molding planes stocked in the vintage tool store over our school. We'll see how to know a worker from a wall-hanger, a good user from a valuable collectable. You'll learn techniques for metal and wood cleaning and restoration, and see how to sharpen and adjust your wooden planes. Once they're working again, you learn to diagnose problems and see how to solve them. It's a great weekend for anyone who wants to enrich their life with wonderful wooden planes!
