Make Your Panel Raising Plane with Bill Anderson
Good panel-raising planes have been hard to find, but in these three days you'll make your own and never look back! This panel raiser is based on one that I have been using for over thirty years. It's medium size makes a panel perfect for cabinets and chest lids. You'll start with select air-dried beech and cut the mouth and wedge, fit the handle and shape the bottom profile. Finally, you'll grind and temper the skewed iron that makes this plane cut perfectly across the end grain of panels. Materials fee: $115
"Where did you get that brilliant panel plane?" they'll ask.
Lessons in modest responses included!
Three days $425
