Make a Jointer Plane w/Bill Anderson

Here's your chance to make your own single iron jointer in the pure eighteenth-century style. In gnarly wood, a cap iron puts back-pressure on the shaving to keep a smooth cut, but this same back-pressure also resists the thrust of the plane. Working with air-dried beech and traditional plane maker's tools, you'll make your jointer plane to your own historical design (or copy Roy's favorite!) Nothing cuts like a single iron jointer!

Materials fee - beech and tapered iron: $115
