Continuous Arm Windsor Rocker w/ Elia Bizzarri

It's the quintessential continuous arm Windsor arm chair and now it rocks! First made in New York City in the late 18th century, the continuous arm's one-piece back with its compound bend is  an American design innovation. You'll build your Windsor rocker entirely with hand tools as you learn the skills and joinery techniques by which well-constructed  chairs are made. Split a log, shape the back and spindles with drawknives and spokeshaves, steam bend the back, hollow the seat using inshaves and travishers, and assemble the chair using hand drills. Open to all levels of students who enjoy plenty of long hours and hard work. Materials $130.

Note: This is priced as a six day class, but Elia has added on a seventh day without charge for those who want the extra time!
