Forging Hinges and Handles with Peter Ross

Made a chest or cabinet? Now you can make the hinges and handles to go with them! In three separate two-day classes with Peter Ross, past master at  Colonial Williamsburg, you can learn  to make butterfly hinges for cabinets and table leaves, long offset hinges for chests, or iron handles for lifting. In the hinge classes, students will begin by making hinges with cold-rolled eyes, then move on to hand filing and other  traditional skills. Students with forging experience may elect to make hinges with forge welded eyes as well.  This workshop will be conducted at Peter's forge, in the nearby community of Silk Hope.

Materials fee $30 for iron, coal, and files.
